Fluted PVC Panels

Vertical grooves that catch light and throw a soft shadow line — the profile behind most of the feature walls people save to their phone and bring to us.

Fluted panels are the profile people usually mean when they show us a picture and say they want that wall. The repeated vertical ribs give a flat surface real depth. The grooves catch light on one side and shadow on the other. So the wall changes through the day, instead of sitting there as one flat block of colour.

They are used most often behind a television, behind a bed as a headboard wall, and on reception walls where a brand needs to look considered. We supply and fit them across Delhi NCR.

Why fluted works so well on a feature wall

  • Depth without weight. A flat painted wall reads as a blank surface; grooves give it structure without eating floor space.
  • Vertical lines lift a low ceiling. In most Delhi NCR flats this is the cheapest way to make a room feel taller.
  • Hides an imperfect wall. The rib pattern breaks up light, so old patchwork behind it stops being visible.
  • Warm without real timber. Wood-grain finishes give the look without the cost, the warping or the termite risk.
  • Fast. Most feature walls are finished in a single day.

Where our clients use it most

  • TV and media walls — the most requested application by a wide margin.
  • Bedroom headboard walls — full height behind the bed, often with concealed lighting.
  • Entrance and foyer walls — the first surface a guest sees.
  • Reception and office branding walls — with the logo mounted proud of the flutes.
  • Dining and bar backdrops, and behind open staircases.
  • Ceiling detail — the same profile run overhead to tie a room together.

Finishes and lighting

Fluted panels — also sold as louvre panels or 3D wall panels — come in wood-finish tones from pale oak to dark walnut, plus solid matte colours and a few stone effects. Warm wood tones are the most popular in living rooms; darker walnut and charcoal read better in bedrooms and bars.

Fluted profiles pair particularly well with concealed LED. A strip washing down the face of the panel exaggerates the shadow line and turns the wall into the light source for the room in the evening. If you want that effect, tell us at the measurement stage so the wiring is planned before the panels go up rather than chased in afterwards.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between fluted and charcoal panels?
Fluted describes the shape — vertical ribs. Charcoal describes the material, a charcoal-composite board that usually also comes in a fluted profile. So a panel can be both. In practice charcoal panels have a warmer, more matte, more timber-like surface, while PVC fluted panels offer a wider range of finishes at a lower cost. We will show you both at the site visit.
Can fluted panels go behind a wall-mounted TV?
Yes, and it is the most common use. The TV bracket must fix through the panel into the wall or into a batten behind it, never into the panel alone. We plan the bracket position and the cable route before installing, so nothing is visible afterwards.
Do the grooves collect dust?
Some dust settles in the grooves over time, as it does on any textured surface. A dry microfibre cloth or a vacuum brush attachment run down the flutes clears it in a couple of minutes. It is noticeably less work than keeping a painted white wall mark-free.
Can I use fluted panels in a bathroom?
Yes. PVC fluted panels are waterproof and are used on bathroom feature walls. Avoid placing them inside the direct shower spray zone where water sits in the grooves; we will suggest a flat panel or tile there and run fluted on the drier walls.
How much wall does one panel cover?
It varies by product, but plan on roughly six panels per running metre of wall for typical profiles. We measure the actual wall and quote the exact panel count, including wastage for cuts around sockets and switches.
Is a fluted panel the same as a louvre panel?
In everyday use, yes — 'fluted panel', 'louvre panel' and '3D wall panel' are all used for the same ribbed profile. Strictly, a louvre has deeper, more separated fins and is sometimes used as an open screen, while fluted ribs sit on a solid backing board. When you enquire, describe the look you want and we will show you both.
